More and more people see the value of sustainability and circular thinking. Companies play a big role in achieving goals like reducing waste and the level of carbon emission. Companies specialised in upcycling enter the market or create special product lines dedicated to upcycling materials. End of life End of life is not included in the linear production model. This means that raw materials are used to manufacture new products, which will ultimately be used and thrown away. But what happens with the products after consumers are finished with them? In this context ‘upcycling’ comes in. In this sustainable approach, the environmental impact is reduced through reducing waste and therefore the demand on raw materials, extending the lifecycle of materials.
