05 Aug Reducing waste starts with optimised packaging
Across industries, there’s a growing push to reduce waste and promote more conscious consumption. Whether that’s charging for plastic bags, switching to cardboard packaging, or offering discounts for bringing reusable cups. These small changes help make a big difference. But in the world of textiles, progress is slower. In fact, only around 1% of textiles are recycled into new textiles globally. The rest often ends up in landfills or is downcycled into lower-grade materials.
In cleanroom environments, reusing wipes isn’t an option. Due to strict quality and contamination control standards, wipes must be produced in controlled environments and only used once.
With Texwipe, we’re focused on reducing waste wherever possible, starting with packaging. While we offer a standard wipe count per bag, we also tailor packaging based on our customers’ actual usage patterns. If customers use high-volume, we offer larger pack sizes to reduce the amount of packaging waste and minimize handling time. Low-volume or intermittent use? We provide smaller packs to minimize the amount of open product in the cleanroom. This helps reduce the risk of contamination and avoids unnecessary waste, since unused wipes are often discarded after a shift. It’s a small adjustment with a big impact. Less packaging waste, more efficient operations, and cleaner environments. By matching pack sizes to actual usage, we help our customers work more efficiently, while also contributing to sustainability goals.
